The year is 2069. Lucas Leiva, now 72, is still at Lazio and despite playing a zimmer frame, he has won the club's Player of the Season award yet again thanks to the help from Liverpool fans.

Last year the Brazilian won the poll due to Liverpool fans hilariously commandeering a vote on Lazio's official Twitter post.

Ciro Immobile scored an incredible 41 goals in 47 appearances for Lazio in all competitions in 2017/18 and yet because of the presence of Liverpool supporters, Lucas won the poll with 71% of the vote.

Fast forward and it's happened again, with even more of a landslide. This time he scooped a whopping 94% of the votes and we have it on good authority that while he had a solid season, it's pretty much down to fans of his old team.

In the semi-final stages of voting, Lucas Leiva collected 87% of the votes in comparison to teammates Felipe Caicedo and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and then went on to beat Francesco Acerbi extremely convincingly in the final after 27,000 votes were cast.

Reds' favourite Lucas Leiva moved to Lazio in 2017 after 10 years of service at Anfield.

After joining from Gremio, the Brazilian went on to make 346 appearances and built up a special kind of rapport with the club's fans.
