14 years after winning the Ballon d'Or, those famous blonde locks of Pavel Nedved will grace a football pitch once more.

Nedved, who hung up his boots at the end of the 2008-09 season after making 247 appearances for Italian giants Juventus, will play alongside his son at Czech amateur club FK Skalna.

Rather fittingly, the 45-year-old started his youth career at FK Skalna, joining the club at the age of 5 to then go and play at youth level for eight years.

Skalna announced the signing of Nedved on their official Facebook page, complete with pictures of him signing on the dotted line.

They confirmed that they had signed the player, but because of his duties at Juventus vice-President, the Czech club are unsure when Nedved will be able to make his debut.

Here are some of the pictures from the Facebook post:

Nedved had a spectacular 18 year career in football, making 91 appearances for the Czech Republic, while playing for Juventus, Lazio and Sparta Prague.

The Ballon d'Or winning midfielder is rightfully considered to be one of the greatest of his generation and he's also lined up with his fair share of world class teammates, including Alessandro Del Piero, Lilian Thuram and Gianluigi Buffon.

Do you think Nedved deserved to win a Ballon d'Or? What is your favourite memory of the blonde haired magician?
