The Team Line-Ups For Man Utd vs Barcelona Legends Match Are Extremely Unbalanced

I think Barcelona might win this one...

Michael Carrick's testimonial was proof that these type of matches can be a success. From Gary Neville's hilarious exchange with Jamie Carragher to Paul Scholes pinging the ball 40 yards like he'd never retired, the United legends produced the goods on June 4.

In my opinion, the key ingredient to achieve this sort of success is balance and Manchester United's upcoming legends tie with Barcelona is a prime example of comical line-ups.

On Friday night, the likes of Danny Webber, Bojan Djordjic and Clayton Blackmore will come up against Ronaldinho, Edgar Davids, Rivaldo and a plethora of former Barca greats in one of the most comically unbalanced games the Nou Camp has ever witnessed.

Here are the line-ups in full:

Barcelona:

Jesus Angoy, Francisco Guzman; Patrik Andersson, Juliano Belletti, Lluis Carerras, Juan Carlos, Frederic Dehu, Edmilson, Miguel Angel Nadal; Guillermo Amor, Edgar Davids, Andoni Goikoetxea, Ludovic Giuly, Gaizka Mendieta, Gica Popescu, Simao Sabrosa; Quique Estebaranz, Santiago Ezquerro, Patrick Kluivert, Rivaldo, Ronaldinho, Julio Salinas.

On the other hand, Manchester United have chosen a selection of former players who many have questioned as 'legends'.

Of course, the likes of Wes Brown, Ji Sung Park and Dwight Yorke are firmly established in the club's history, but Clayton Blackmore and Ben Thornley?

Not to sound disrespectful or anything, but Barcelona's squad looks a tad stronger:

Manchester United:

Raimond van der Gouw, Kevin Pilkington; Clayton Blackmore, Wes Brown, Ronny Johnsen, Lee Martin, Mikael Silvestre; Russell Beardsmore, Jesper Blomqvist, Bojan Djordjic, Ji-sung Park, Karel Poborsky, Alan Smith, Ben Thornley; Louis Saha, Danny Webber, Dwight Yorke.

There will be two legs to the tie, with the second leg taking place at Old Trafford on Saturday 2nd September, with kick-off set to be confirmed at 3pm.

Can you see this group of former United players beating Barcelona at the Nou Camp tonight?
