It wasn't just last summer that Kylian Mbappe was one of European football's hottest properties, with the likes of Real Madrid and Manchester City vying for the young Frenchman's talents before PSG swooped him away from Monaco in a £165 million deal.
The 19-year-old has been on the radar of some of the continent's biggest clubs for a few years, now and once took in a trial with Chelsea.
Before he rose to prominence during Monaco's glorious, Ligue Un title winning campaign of 2016/17, Mbappe was a pre-teen trialist with the Premier League champions and took part in a friendly against Charlton Athletic.

Speaking during an interview, via Give Me Sport Mbappe said of the trial, "I was still young back then, maybe 10 or 11.

"I went to London and spent just under a week over there. I trained at Chelsea and we played a friendly match against Charlton Athletic. We won 6-0 or 7-0. I played upfront, but I don't think I scored.
"It was great - it was my first experience abroad and a chance for me to see what the game was like in England."

Ironically enough, Mbappe is the exact sort of player Antonio Conte could have done with having at his disposal, this season, with £58 million summer arrival Alvaro Morata failing to make an impact since arriving at Stamford Bridge from Real Madrid. January signing Olivier Giroud is also still establishing himself in West London after his move from Arsenal, two months ago.
The former Monaco star has hit 16 goals in 31 games in all competitions, this season and will make his initial loan move complete at the end of the campaign.
