Some managers like to watch their teams partake in pre-match warm-ups but Jurgen Klopp has a different strategy.
While the German did spend watch his own team go through their final preparations last night, he spent most of the pre-match period watching Manchester City do their routine.
He was stood right in the Etihad Stadium centre circle, arms folded and eyes fixed on the opposition side.
In all truth, Klopp won't have got much from watching City merely do stretches and a few rondos but clearly he was attempting to play some mind games - not that it worked as his side lost their first league game of the season and have had their lead at the top cut to four points.
It's a tactic Klopp has used many a time before, however. There are plenty of instances where he has focused on the other team warming up as opposed to what his team were doing, no matter who Liverpool were playing.
Klopp is a man for weird superstitions, it seems. He also celebrated Roberto Firmino's equaliser with a water bottle last night, because of course he did.
