How did Leicester City manage to win the Premier League title in 2016 with their back four? One word: Kante.

The diminutive Frenchman starred in midfield, sitting in front of a defensive back line which consisted of Danny Simpson, Wes Morgan, Robert Huth and Christian Fuchs.

He pulled the strings alongside Danny Drinkwater, providing protection to Leicester's defenders and his tireless endeavour has been recognised by everyone including Huth.

The German was a guest on 'Goals on Sunday' and he was naturally asked about their Premier League triumph.

Chris Kamara probed Huth about their defence: "How do you win the Premier League with a back four of Simpson, Morgan, Huth & Fuchs?"

He brilliantly replied: "Kante."

What an answer, Robert.

Kante only lasted one season in the Midlands. After his heroics for Leicester, Chelsea poached him where he continued his scintillating form, guiding them to Premier League glory.

Back-to-back Premier League successes for the Frenchman.

As well as talking up his former teammate, Huth also weighed in on his ex-manager, Jose Mourinho, who remains subject to scrutiny at Manchester United.

"What Mourinho had at Chelsea and at his other previous clubs was that the players bought 100 per cent into what he was trying to do," he said.

"There was no 'I don't like what we're doing'. Even if some players didn't like what the plan was they bought into it and did the job 100 per cent.

At the moment at United, there are too many voices saying 'we should be doing this, we should be doing that or I should be playing in this position'.

"That's when you get a performance like the one at West Ham, it just looked disjointed. He seems to have lost a bit of the swagger, the 'I don't care attitude' he used to have and the connection with the players.

"If you look back years ago at Inter, Real Madrid and Chelsea he used to have an instant connection, a spark with the players.

"They would do everything for him but at the moment it's not quite there."

What do you reckon to Huth's assessment? Let us know.
