Jeff Stelling Makes Uncomfortable Schindler's List Joke On Soccer Saturday

Not sure you can make those jokes Jeff.

Soccer Saturday is very much a part of the footballing weekend these days. If you can't make a match or your team are away then there's a good chance you'll be tuning in to Sky Sports News to watch the scores flood in but today Jeff Stelling made a joke too far.

Stelling is a brilliant presenter as the scores come in from correspondents around the grounds and in the studio as they shout "oh it's a goal" over him as he tries to tell yet another terrible pun about a goalscorer in League One.

The former Countdown presenter is well known for his puns and terrible 'dad' jokes about people's names but he's definitely gone a little too far today in a joke that was too close to the bone.

Commenting on the Huddersfield vs Ipswich game and goalscorer Christopher Schindler the 61 year old said, "He always writes it down when he scores, it's called Schindler's List."

The joke referencing Oskar Schindler, a German who saved over 1000 Jewish people during the Holocaust, and the film called "Schindler's List" fell on deaf ears in the studio but was picked up by some viewers:

He might not have meant it to be offensive but it certainly wasn't in good taste.
