Jack Grealish Scores Lionel Messi Esque Goal In Villa Win At Rotherham

Not sure if Grealish or Messi...

Lionel Messi might not have been his usual wizardly self at Old Trafford on Wednesday night but it seems as though his powers were handed to Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish tonight.

The 23-year old, widely viewed as the best player in the Championship, scored a goal that the diminutive Argentine would have been proud of for what turned out to be the winner away at Rotherham.

Grealish started the move deep, merked four players and then played a one-two with Mohamed El Mohamedy, who cut the ball back for him to coolly slot home.

Grealish has scored some belters this season, including a venomous volley against Derby, but this might just be the best goal he's scored this term.

Meanwhile it was the seventh victory on the bounce for Villa, who had to dig deep after seeing Tyrone Mings sent off 34 minutes and going a goal down when Will Vaulks converted the resulting penalty.

Dean Smith's side have the momentum on their side and now sit fifth in the league, looking very good value for a play-off spot.
