Istanbul Basaksehir Have The Most Interesting Squad In World Football

What a crazy, crazy squad they have at the moment.

Continuing their trend of signing players who tore it up on FIFA 12, Turkish Super Lig side Istanbul Basaksehir have snapped up former Chelsea, Newcastle and West Ham striker Demba Ba on loan.

The 33-year old, who has played for both Besiktas and Göztepe in Turkey, has moved from Chinese Super League side Shanghai Shenhua.

And he joins a quite incredible squad assembled. They recently drafted in Robinho from Sivasspor, with the Brazilian linking up with fellow former Manchester City pair Gael Clichy and Emmanuel Adebayor.

Beyond that, the Turkish outfit have recruited the likes of Eljero Elia, Arda Turan, Gokhan Inler, Emre Belözoğlu and Kerim Frei in recent years to put together a squad that would probably do some serious damage on Ultimate Team on a few years back.

It's no wonder they are six points clear at the top table, even if most of their players are probably past their sell-by dates.

On FIFA 12, Dutch winger Elia was by far one of the most overpowered players on the game, while the likes of Robinho and Turan were popular buys, mostly because of their pace, dribbling and shooting stats.

86-rated Adebayor, then playing for Tottenham, was also a popular choice among those who wanted a cheap Premier League striker with four star skills.

To finish up, Inler was a solid midfield general plying his trade for Napoli, and Clichy was a permanent fixture at left-back in PL teams thanks to his pace stats.
