Fans of Inter Milan staged a brilliant workout on their under performing players earlier on today, and it left them with a snarky message in the process.

Inter hosted Sassuolo at their iconic San Siro stadium this afternoon, with the Serie A giants currently languishing eighth in the table.

Earlier this week, the club's owners sacked Stefano Pioli - their third manager of the current campaign - and it seems the days of winning the treble under Jose Mourinho are a universe away from the current team.

Of course, the current crop of players slumped to a disappointing 2-1 defeat today at the San Siro.

And it came in front of a sparse crowd following most supporters' decision to leave early, and leave behind a brilliant banner:

It's tough to argue with, eh?

Inter is a club which should be challenging for trophies pretty much every season, and it remains to be seen if the new cash-rich Chinese owners can turn around the fortunes.

What do you think of the protest?
