Without Zlatan Ibrahimovic this season Manchester United would be lucky to be in the top half of the table, such has been the Swede's impact at Old Trafford. And there's only one way he'll be there next season.

Zlatan became PSG's all time top goalscorer last season as he won his fifth Ligue 1 title in a row with the French club before leaving, in his own words, as a legend of the club. He decided his next move would be to the Premier League.

He signed a one year deal with Jose Mourinho's team and finally made the move to England that many wanted him to make years before to prove he could do it over here.

He's proven that, despite being past his peak at 35 years of age. The question now is whether or not he'll sign a new deal at Old Trafford or find his next challenge.

According to the Sun that will only happen if the former Barcelona striker becomes the joint top earner at Old Trafford and wants to at least match the £300k-a-week earned by Wayne Rooney and Paul Pogba.

Initially Zlatan signed a one year deal on £260k-a-week with a one year option to re-sign for another season. But taking up that option would leave him on his current pay.

So Ibra wants to negotiate an improved deal if he is to extend his time in England. It is thought that he wants Champions League football as well but clearly being made to feel as important as anyone else at the club is just as important.

United could be helped in terms of being able to afford the wages if they were to get rid of Wayne Rooney at the end of the season. There are rumours that the club captain could head to China, the MLS or Everton before next season.

Despite potential huge offers from elsewhere it is believed that Zlatan would prefer to stay where he is in order to add to his incredible collection of titles throughout his career.

Zlatan is currently serving a three match ban after his elbow on Tyrone Mings but has scored 26 goals this season.

You can't imagine that United would say no to his wage demands!
