Alex Sandro lifts the lid on how Cristiano Ronaldo has reacted following his sending off in the Champions League.

Ronaldo was controversially red carded following his interaction with Valencia's Jeison Murillo on Wednesday night. He appeared to kick out before pulling his hair.

Match referee Felix Brych consulted with his assistant before brandishing a red card to the Juventus striker who was inconsolable.

The ex-Real Madrid star collapsed to the floor in sheer disbelief, begrudgingly leaving the field in tears.

However, the 33-year-old is looking forward and motivated ahead of Juventus resuming their Serie A campaign.

Well, that's according to Ronaldo's teammate Alex Sandro whose talked up his mentality and vast amount of experience.

"I see him motivated," Alex Sandro said to Sky Sport Italia via Goal.

The Brazilian added: "He has a lot of experience and he knows that what happened on Tuesday belongs to the past.

"He is already looking forward, he came to help and brought quality to our group.

"My understanding with him I'm learning to know him inside and outside the field.

"I'm understanding his movements and how he likes to receive the ball. Slowly I will start to assist him."

Alex Sandro wasn't his only club colleague to comment on the situation. Federico Bernardeschi attempted to comfort Ronaldo by reportedly saying: "You're number one."

Ronaldo will be able to put his Juventus Champions League debut behind him when his side face Frosinone on Sunday.

The Portuguese international opened his account for Juventus in competitive action by bagging a brace against Sassuolo.

Will he add to his two top flight Italian goals?
