News broke this week that England's all-time leading goalscorer Wayne Rooney would be returning to the international scene.
Despite retiring in August 2017 and making his final appearance in November 2016, the DC United forward will be making his 120t appearance in a friendly against the USA at Wembley on November 15th.
The appearance is to promote 'The Wayne Rooney Foundation,' a newly formed charity by the former Manchester United man.
As well as this, the FA have dubbed the match 'The Wayne Rooney Foundation International' with proceeds of the game going to numerous charities.

Promotional images released for the match have seen Rooney in his iconic number 10 shirt, which he wore at four international tournaments.

However, it remains to be seen which number he'll wear when he does make his return to the Wembley pitch, albeit briefly.
According to the Sun, Rooney will only be receiving "five to ten minutes" at the end of the game, as a good will gesture following his years of service to the national team.
Opinions on the 33-year-old's return have been mixed, despite his form in America taking DC United to the MLS Play-Offs.

With England boss Gareth Southgate reportedly not consulting his squad about the decision, it brings into question how seriously the friendly is being taken, which comes three days before England's final UEFA Nations League tie with Croatia.
The reverse fixture ended 0-0 in an empty HNK Rijeka Stadium last month, with England currently sitting in second on four points, three points ahead of the beaten World Cup finalists.
England's all-time capped player Peter Shilton has had his say, telling BBC Radio 4's Today Programme: "I think if he was picked on merit, fair enough. But I don't think you can give caps out like gifts."

The former England goalkeeper went on to say: "You have got to be careful it doesn't set a precedent. It's great Wayne's foundation are going to get money from this game, but that is going to happen whether Wayne plays or not."
Shilton also had a say on the matter via Twitter (seen below).

Following England's World Cup heroics without their all-time top goal scorer, you must wonder how his return will impact the squad.
Will Rooney score on his return?
