An absolute worldie from the Frenchman...

Lionel Messi may the best free-kick taker in La Liga by some distance but Antoine Griezmann proved today that he's not too shabby with a stunning set-piece.

Just before half-time and around 25 yards out against Celta Vigo, Griezmann walloped one right into the top bins with his wand of a left peg.

It was on the keeper's side but the perfect combination power and placement was too much for Ruben Blanco to handle.

The Frenchman has now scored three free-kicks from 11 attempts in La Liga this season, with only the superhuman Messi boasting a better record from dead-ball situations after scoring six set-piece worldies so far.

Griezmann produced another moment of sheer wizardry with a filthy touch to bring down a ball that had looped up in the air in the early moments in the second half. It was like the ball was glued to his foot.

And he followed it up by laying on a lovely assist for Alvaro Morata to double Atleti's lead in the second half and wrap up victory at the Wanda Metropolitano.

The former Real Sociedad forward is now on 13 goals in 31 La Liga appearances so far this season and continues to shine for Diego Simeone's side.
