Lucas Vazquez added his name to the scoresheet in style against Celta Vigo after a superb team-based play from the Real Madrid players.

Los Blancos boss Zinedine Zidane has been heavily criticised for his side's disappointing performances in their pre-season tour this summer.

But Madrid bounced back for their first La Liga clash of the season and the Spanish side oozed pure class with their passing.

Marcelo received the ball on the left and passed it into the path of Isco, who effortlessly pulled off a backheel pass to return it to the Brazilian left-back.

And Marcelo then pushed the ball into the path of Karim Benzema, who planted one of the Celta Vigo defenders to the floor with a superb roulette.

The Madrid striker ended the move by passing the ball to Vazquez, who took one touch before hammering it past Ruben Blanco.

Benzema opened the scoring in the first half and Toni Kroos doubled their lead in the second half with a thunderous strike.

But Madrid were reduced to ten men in the second half after Luka Modric was shown a red card for his challenge on Denis Suarez in the 56th minute.

While Vazquez scored Madrid's third, Iker Losada Aragunde pulled one back for Celta Vigo in injury time.

Zidane started Gareth Bale for the clash against Celta Vigo, despite the Welsh winger being told by the Madrid boss he could leave this summer.

The 30-year-old Madrid wantaway's sensational move to China collapsed, but 'Zizou' has insisted that Bale won't be leaving the club now.

"He's going to stay and we all have to think of that as a positive thing," he said.

"The injury to Eden Hazard was bad luck for us, but it didn't change the plans we had for Bale in this game.

"Gareth and everyone else here is going to show this shirt the respect it deserves."
