A proper nostalgia trip...

New gameplay footage from The Journey: Champions shows Alex Hunter's Grandad as a playable character in the mode.

In August, EA Sports dropped the new trailer for the next phase of Hunter's journey to the top in FIFA 19, as he tries to become a legend at Real Madrid.

They also revealed that Hunter's mate Danny Williams, and sister Kim are both playable characters and you have to guide them through "the most significant moments of their careers" according to EA Sports' official website.

But while we've known about that, we were not aware, until now, that you can relive Jim Hunter's most iconic career moment.

In FIFA 17, he gives Alex the ball he scored his 100th goal with back in 1969 during an away game against Coventry. Jim describes it as a "left-footed volley" that was "as sweet as a nut".

Fast forward to this year's game and you play out that very game and moment. It all starts off with various fast cut-scenes of the match, played on a proper old school, mud-filled pitch.

There's a segment whereHunter being goaded by the opposition skipper over him struggling to reach his big milestone but if you play it right by scoring the acrobatic strike from a corner in gameplay, it's he who has the last laugh.

You can also choose whether you perform his signature celebration or celebrate randomly, while players also play out the remaining 20 minutes of the encounter.

There's nostalgia galore in the kits, ball and pitch - yet the best bit of the whole thing is the fact the legendary John Motson is commentating on the action.

'Motty', who retired from his work on the microphone for the BBC in May, was a permanent voice on the old FIFA - and hearing the 72-year old's dulcet tones once again here is just pure nostalgia.

We've told you about many of the new features and additions to FIFA 19 but nothing will top the return of Motty. It's been long overdue and even though he's not in other modes, his inclusion is very much welcomed.
