Bolton's inability to field senior players has EA Sports making up fakes. Quite literally.
The League One team have resorted to playing youth players amid a financial crisis while 'FakePlayer' is used to fill positions in FIFA 20's Beta.
The financially-stricken club don't have enough senior players to fill out their squad. So, EA Sports have been plugging gaps in their squad with fakes.
Needless to say, 'FakePlayer' became the talking point of the gaming community on social media.

"FakePlayer at RB should be in prem with that rating," one Twitter user wrote.
While another added: "Can't wait to do a Piemonte Calcio career mode and sign FakePlayer."
Despite their off-field woes, Bolton managed to secure a point against Coventry City over the weekend.

Phil Parkinson named an extremely young side with an average age of 19, and their oldest player was just 24-years-old.
However, the 'Bolton Babes' held Coventry to a goalless draw in a heroic effort.
"What a performance from those young lads," one fan posted on social media. "Average age of 19. Those first team players who refused to play today should leave the club in the morning. So proud of that team! That's the club I fell in love with as a child!"
Bolton are back in action on Tuesday when they travel to Rochdale in the EFL Cup, and they resume their league campaign on the weekend against Tranmere.
