A young Manchester United fan has slated his side's players during a live TV broadcast on ITV.

The clip in question has started to make the rounds on social media as the reporter asked the youngster who his favourite team was first.

"Manchester United," he replied.

But that's where all of the positives end for the Red Devils as the reporter decided to ask the fan who his favourite United player was.

The youngster had a simple response to the question: "None of them. They're all rubbish."

And United fans loved every moment of it as they have backed his brutal response to the question.

"This will show you the type of players we have when young [United] fans say there [sic] all rubbish," one fan wrote.

Someone else said: "Wise head on such young shoulders."

A third wrote: "The boy knows [his] football."

A fourth added: "Would like to shake this lad's hand."

United endured a disappointing season as ex-Real Madrid and Chelsea boss José Mourinho received the sack halfway through the campaign.

Ole Gunnar Solskjær initially replaced him as caretaker manager before he was permanently appointed to the position.

But United were unable to maintain their momentum and finished outside of the top four, missing out on Champions League football next season.

Solskjær, 46, is hoping to make serious headway in the summer transfer window as he overhauls United's squad.

The Norwegian has already secured the services of Daniel James from Swansea City and is closing in on the signing of Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Crystal Palace.

But United could cut ties with Romelu Lukaku, who is ready to quit Old Trafford and has been linked with a move to Inter Milan.

And there is uncertainty surrounding Paul Pogba's future as the United superstar admitted he wants to leave and has been linked with Real Madrid and Juventus.

Will United finish in the top four next season?
