Both Arsenal supporters and football fans will have fond memories of seeing Arsène Wenger in the dugout with his long trench coat.

Yes, it became an iconic sight to see the 69-year-old Frenchman sporting a long coat when the Gunners were playing a match.

However, what became even more famous was seeing Wenger struggle to zip up his coat.

Now, the former Gunners boss has spoken about the problems he had with his many, many trench coats that he would wear.

"Yes, in fact I improved in that," Wenger told beIN Sports.

"I was conscious of that!

"They are too long and sometimes the zip didn't work. I struggled a lot with that.

"But, in the end, because people were showing it I was conscious that I was under scrutiny when doing it!"

Wenger was the longest-serving manager for Arsenal and left in the summer after 22 years with the club.

It was recently revealed that Wenger was offered the manager's position at Fulham before the club appointed Claudio Ranieri.

Last month, he confirmed that he would be returning to football in January 2019.

"From my 22 years at Arsenal, I have big experience on different levels," he explained (via Sky Sports).

"I believe that I will start again on January 1st.

"I feel rested and am ready to work again. But where? I don't know yet."
