2 games, 13 goals and 180 minutes later, the Premier League is officially back after the longest summer in recent memory.

Arsene Wenger's Arsenal side knocked four past Leicester in a seven goal thriller last night, and Watford just scored in the 94th minute to earn a well deserved point against a disappointing Liverpool side who can't defend for toffee.

So far, so good. We've witnessed plenty of impressive performances on the field, but the individual brilliance of Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher in the punditry circle has brought us the most joy in terms of entertainment.

I think everybody's missed this mischievous 'friendship'.

In the early kick-off on Saturday afternoon, Watford welcomed Liverpool to Vicarage Road and it certainly didn't disappoint.

Watford defender Miguel Britos bagged a dramatic 93rd-minute equaliser for Watford, as Liverpool's defence crumbled under pressure.

Carragher voiced his concerns after the game, but Gary Neville couldn't help but aim a dig at the former Liverpool defender on Twitter shortly after Watford's equaliser.

On his way to Salford City vs Telford, Gary Neville tweeted the following:

Minutes later, Carragher responded in style and bluntly told the former Manchester United defender to 'f*ck off':

Neville then asked for evidence of Carragher's demise after Watford equalised, and Twitter replied with videos of Carragher having a meltdown with co-pundit Jamie Redknapp.

You can't help but feel for Carragher.

Earlier on in the game, the 39-year-old voiced his concerns of Liverpool's defensive options, saying: "Premier League defenders where are you!!!!"

Carragher vs Neville is back, folks!
