Days after Atletico announced the signing of Diego Costa in a £67million deal, the Spaniard decided to attend his new club's Champions League group stage tie against former side Chelsea.
Costa, who was pictured with a number of former Chelsea teammates in the Wanda Metropolitano tunnel before kick-off, took his seat in Atletico's new, £220m stadium with a smile on his face.
But when full-time came around, the 28-year-old was far from happy when Michy Batshuayi, who has scored 5 goals in his last 3 games for Chelsea, netted a winner in the 93rd minute to break Atletico hearts.

Batshuayi's last kick of the game gave Antonio Conte's side all three points on Wednesday evening, Chelsea's second Champions League win of the season.
It didn't start well for the Blues, though. David Luiz gave away a penalty in the 40th minute and Antoine Griezmann converted with ease.

New signing Alvaro Morata, who has been superb for Chelsea since his big money move from Los Blancos, equalised on the hour mark.
Then Batshuayi, who has scored a goal once every 74.8 minutes since joining the club, netted a last second goal to send Chelsea fans into a frenzy.
Diego Costa, head in hands, looked on in horror and Twitter reacted perfectly:
Priceless.
