Middlesbrough And Sunderland Hilariously Trolled By TV Channel

Middlesbrough And Sunderland Hilariously Trolled By TV Channel

The battle of the relegation is on tonight.

Whilst most of us will be watching Crystal Palace trying to derail yet another top six side tonight when they take on Tottenham there will be some poor sods at the Riverside watching Middlesbrough vs Sunderland and one tv channel really stuck the boot in on them.

Middlesbrough and Sunderland are yet to be relegated from the Premier League but at this point that's just a matter of time for the division's worst two teams to drop down to where they belong.

Neither side can go down, even if bottom side Sunderland were to lose, and even though 'Boro' are 'only' nine puts behind safety it does feel a bit like both sides are very ill puppies who it's crueler to keep alive than just have put down.

With both sides floundering there's an outside chance the match tonight could be an absolute barnstormer but considering the levels of confidence at the Riverside and Stadium of Light it's likely to be a bit boring.

One fan thought it would be a hilarious comedy of errors so asked the Comedy Channel if they'd be showing the match. The masters of the funny stuff though thought it would be a lot sadder and got their response spot on.

Tragically Middlesbrough haven't won a Premier League game since beating fellow strugglers Swansea City back in the middle of December and it's a wonder it took them so long to get rid of Aitor Karanka.

David Moyes' side have been in trouble all season and haven't been out of the relegation zone since August 29th! They hit the bottom of the table on January 16th and have been there ever since.

Comedy Central might think this one belongs in Shakespeare's tragedy section but it could end up looking more like a Comedy of Errors!
