Mario Gotze is most famous for scoring the goal that gave Germany their fourth World Cup when he popped up with the winner in extra time in the final against Argentina four years back, but he's also fondly remembered for looking a little excited while on holiday with his girlfriend.

Many moons ago, the German was snapped enjoying a break with his stunning other half Ann-Kathrin Brömmel and instantly went viral after getting a bit of a stonker on in his tight swimming trunks.

He'd never previously commented on the picture until now, but Jack Whitehall decided to troll the Borussia Dortmund star in his 'Training Days' YouTube series.

The popular comedian and Bad Education star filmed various skits with the likes Gareth Bale, Kyle Walker and Dele Alli in previous episodes and the latest one saw him hang out with German trio Jerome Boateng, Thomas Muller and Gotze.

Boateng and Whitehall failed at putting together a rap song before the 29-year old tussled it out with Muller at beer pong and stein racing.

When it came to Gotze, the former 'A League of Their Own' regular decided to show him a special picture of his 'most famous moment in football' at the German football museum.

Of course it wasn't him celebrating his World Cup winner - it was THAT hard-on image.

Cue various innuendos like 'Mannschaft', with Gotze taking it all in good jest and bursting into laughter before Whitehall tells him the snap confirmed to him that the 25-year old was winning at life.

Except Gotze won't be tasting victory at the World Cup as he has not been included in Joachim Low's squad for the showpiece in Russia. He expressed his disappointment on Twitter but wished his colleagues the best for the tournament.
