A moment of madness from the French defender.

Seriously, what the flying (pun intended) f*ck was Bryan Melisse thinking?!

This is one of the worst tackles you'll see all season - and the new campaign has barely even started.

European minnows have already begun their new term with Champions League qualifiers. Clubs all over Europe are hoping to get into the Champions League proper.

But that means a slew of qualifiers.

However, Luxembourg outfit F91 Dudelange's quest for Champions League football is officially over following a two-legged defeat.

They went down with a fight. Literally.

Defender Melisse drop kicked an opposition player deep into injury time with his side trailing. Needless to say, the referee brandished a straight red card.

Absolute madness.

Bryan, what were you thinking?!

Opposition players, naturally, were pretty p*ssed with him, confronting Melisse who then hurled some abuse to the dug out.

Coaching staff eventually escorted him off the pitch.

Disgraceful challenge. UEFA need to throw the book at him. Surely a hefty ban is on the cards.

It's hard to imagine that there will be a worse tackle when the 2018/19 Champions League campaign does commence.

Anyway, Hungarian club MOL Vidi FC advance to the next round and keep their hopes of Champions League football alive.
