José Mourinho's future at Manchester United is hanging in the balance. Of course, it doesn't help when Zinedine Zidane is being tipped to be his successor at the club every day.
Senior sources at the Red Devils have now come out to address the speculation surrounding the French manager.
According to GiveMeSport, it would seem that the former Real Madrid coach has not been approached for the role, with United branding the rumours and reports as "nonsense."
Mourinho's third season at the club hasn't started in the best possible way. If it's not his troubled relationship with Paul Pogba, then it's his side's poor performance on the pitch that is being spotlighted.
United currently sit 10th in the Premier League, winning three matches, drawing one and losing three.
West Ham beat Mourinho's side 3-1 yesterday, which followed up on the club's EFL Cup exit to Derby County during the midweek.
The Red Devils resume their Champions League campaign on Tuesday against Valencia.
For now, it looks like Mourinho doesn't have to worry about Zizou, who left Madrid last season after he picked up a third consecutive Champions League trophy with Los Blancos.
