Steven Gerrard has signed yet another Liverpool player on loan, in his first summer window as Rangers manager.

Gerrard left his position as youth coach of the Reds to join up with the Scottish Premiership side but it appears that he cannot leave his beloved Liverpool behind.

Liverpool and Rangers had entered an agreement where the Glasgow outfit would be given the right to choose from the Reds' youth players, they would be given first refusal.

And Gerrard is putting that to use, having signed Jon Flanagan, who was let go from the club after pleading guilty to assaulting his girlfriend, Ovie Ejaria was signed on loan, and now Ryan Kent has joined up with Gerrard's side on a season-long loan deal, the winger pictured below here proudly holding up the Rangers jersey.

Kent made his debut for Liverpool back in 2015 and has had spells at Coventry City, Barnsley, SC Freiburg and Bristol City since then. He will feel assured having Gerrard there with him at his new club, knowing that the Liverpool connection remains strong despite him playing in a different league.

All eyes will be on Gerrard next season, as he undertakes his first season as manager.
