Ronaldo Doesn't Agree With His Son's Bold Claim That He'll Be Better Than Him

Cristiano Ronaldo Jr has thrown down a bold claim, but why does Ronaldo not agree with the little man’s claim?

Cristiano Ronaldo Jr is keen to follow in his dad's footsteps and become a professional footballer. Sure, the little guy is playing for Juventus' youth team and scored four times on his debut, but he also thinks he'll be better than his dad.

Talk about making a bold statement -- or maybe Ronaldo's personality is being rubbed off on the 8-year-old, no?

The Juventus forward, on the other hand, doesn't share in his son's big ambitions to surpass his dad's achievements.

"I hope that Cris, my son, can be like his dad," he told beIN SPORTS (via the Daily Mirror). "He says he is going to be better [than me], but I think it's difficult.

"I am very happy to have scored, for him too. He is playing for Juventus and adapting really well -- it has been easier for him than for me."

To be fair to the Portuguese forward, he might have a point.

Ronaldo and Lionel Messi are in a league of their own, with each of them sharing a record five Ballon d'Ors apiece.

It looks like the former Madrid man isn't showing any signs of slowing down either.

He scored a brace against Sassuolo over the weekend and, in the process, became only the fifth player in history to break the 400-goal mark in club career.
