Italian police have confirmed that Napoli striker Arkadiusz Milik was robbed at gunpoint after the club's Champions League triumph against Liverpool.
The 24-year-old Polish footballer was making his way to his car when two people confronted him, demanding that he handed over his €7,000 Rolex Daytona watch.
According to Agenzia Giornalistica Italia (via Channel NewsAsia), the two thieves were wearing helmets that covered their faces and made their escape on a motorcycle towards the countryside.
Lorenzo Insigne's late strike allowed the Italian club to beat the Reds 1-0 and, in the process, to climb to the top of Group C.
Napoli have enjoyed a successful start to the season under Carlo Ancelotti's leadership, with the club currently second in Serie A after five wins and two draws.
