André Schürrle was once a German prodigy, but he never quite lived up to the expectation of his talent. Even still, a Premier League club is now, allegedly, looking to bring in the player.

He had a season and a half spell in the Premier League with Chelsea back in 2013 - and now the German looks set to make a return to the Premier League, with a mystery club reportedly keen on bringing him to the side.

At Chelsea, Schürrle scored 14 goals in 65 outings, not a good not enough return for a player who cost the Blues £18 million. And so he was shipped off to Wolfsburg for £22 million, before heading to Borussia Dortmund, where he is currently

Now it appears that he could well be moving back to England.

German outlet Bild via the Daily Mail report that the 27-year-old could be brought to Crystal Palace, with their star Wilfried Zaha reported to be part of the deal.

This news won't go down well with Palace supporters, who see Zaha as their biggest asset and best player. There is also a huge emotional connection between attacker and the supporters in South London, and there is an understanding of why he has rejected a new contract at the club.

Reports in England have not named the Eagles specifically but do say that Borussia Dortmund - Schürrle's current side - are in talks with an 'unnamed' Premier League side. Palace are touted as being the club who could be locked in negotiations with the club, but the supporters remain hopefully that they can keep their man, knowing just how much Zaha offers the side.
