Salah Creates Awkward Moment For Gary Neville After Snubbing Interview Request

Sky Sports duo Gary Neville and Kelly Cates experienced an awkward moment with Mohamed Salah at the Best FIFA Football Awards.

It's hard to argue against the fact that Mohamed Salah is a really humble man. The 26-year-old Liverpool forward made a child's day recently when he walked up to him after a match and handed him his shirt.

Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher love taking a dig at one another over Manchester United and Liverpool on Sky Sports.

But when it came to the former United right-back attending the Best FIFA Football Awards on Monday, he thought it would be the ideal time to speak with Salah, who had been nominated for the FIFA Puskás Award and Best FIFA Men's Player.

Neville was with Kelly Cates for Sky Sports covering the event.

"Can we have a couple of minutes for Sky Sports?" Cates said when she spotted Salah (via the Daily Mirror).

Salah embraced Neville with a warm smile and handshake before walking right past both of them, completely ignoring the request from Cates.

"Oops, that answers that then!" Cates said.

What an awkward moment.

The Liverpool star might not have heard the request, but it doesn't make for the best bit of TV, does it?

You could cut the atmosphere with a knife.

Maybe Sky would have had a better chance for an interview if Carragher had been there?

Salah took home the FIFA Puskás Award yesterday, with fellow teammate James Milner posting a brilliant response to his win online.

The Liverpool midfielder was nominated for Best FIFA Men's Player, too, though Real Madrid's Luka Modrić came out on top for that award.

Do you think Salah intentionally snubbed Neville?
