Barcelona have completed a pretty busy few hours in the market by bringing forward the transfer for Jean-Clair Todibo today.
The 19-year old Toulouse defender was poised to move to the La Liga champions on a free in the summer after agreeing terms but the Blaugrana have elected to sign him on a permanent deal earlier than scheduled.
Todibo has signed a four-and-a-half year contract with the Blaugrana and will have his official contract signing, press conference and unveiling tomorrow.
Having made his professional debut at the start of the season, the France Under-20 international had been frozen out at Toulouse after refusing to sign a new contract at the club and played his last game in November.
But he now embarks on a dream move with Barca, sharing a dressing room with the one and only Lionel Messi, along with a slew of other world-class players.
And he's been handed a pretty big shirt number, too. The No.6 was vacated by Denis Suarez after he joined Arsenal on loan and is of course famous for being worn by the legendary Xavi Hernandez, who won eight La Liga titles and four Champions League trophies with Barcelona.
Todibo wasn't the only bit of business Barca tied up today. They also confirmed an agreement with Atletico Mineiro to bring in Emerson in a €12 million deal.
The 20-year old will make the switch at the start of the summer transfer window.
