The towering Dutch defender opened the scoring at the Johan Cruijff Arena in trademark fashion. He rose the highest from a corner kick and powered a bullet header into the corner.

His header in the fifth minute triggered the same reaction from football fans on social media; just why is Trippier marking De Ligt?!

The 5-foot-10 England international tasked with keeping track of the 6-foot-2 budding superstar didn't go down too well with Spurs fans.
