Eden Hazard will not only become the most expensive transfer in Real Madrid history but also the club's highest paid player.

Real Madrid have agreed terms with Chelsea for the sale of Hazard. The Spanish giants will play an initial £88 million, rising to £130 million dependent on certain bonuses and contract clauses.

His salary will be doubled to a whopping £400,000-a-week once he completes his mega-transfer to Real Madrid.

So, that's £20.8 million a year, £1.7 million a month, £57,143 a day, £2,380 an hour, £39.70 and, finally, 66p a second.

An official unveiling is expected within the next 24 hours as he calls time on his seven-year spell at Chelsea.

Hazard all but confirmed his transfer away from Stamford Bridge following Chelsea's Europa League final victory over Arsenal last week.

"We will decide in a few days and the only target in my mind was to win this final," he said after the Blues beat Arsenal 4-1 to win the Europa League.

"I have made my decision already and now I'm waiting on both clubs. I think it is a goodbye, but in football you never know."

Hazard enjoyed a superb individual campaign last season. He scored an impressive 21 goals in all competitions, including 16 goals in the Premier League.

Real Madrid have already secured the services of Luka Jovic from Eintracht Frankfurt. They snapped up the prolific Serbian striker for a reported £52 million.

'Los Blancos' continue to monitor new talent with Zinedine Zidane believed to be keeping tabs on Tottenham's Christian Eriksen and Manchester United's Paul Pogba, among others.
