Dimitri Payet Bans Kids From Saying Ballon d'Or Winners Name

Well, that seems a bit extreme!

Dimitri Payet's kids are banned from saying Cristiano Ronaldo's name. Seriously?!

The Portuguese successfully claimed his fourth Ballon d'Or gong following an incredible year for both club and country.

His exploits for Real Madrid and Portugal saw him as the clear runaway favourite as he got his hands on the prestigious award once again on Monday.

From winning the Champions League (yet again) and then lifting aloft the European Championship with Portugal - their first international honours.

Payet himself featured during that match as they agonisingly came up short in the final prompting his name to be banned in the Payet household.

"I have kids, so I can understand the image that footballers have." The West Ham playmaker told Sport24.

"They are fans of some players, I see in their eyes. They admire and try to imitate their gestures, their words, their celebrations."

Needless to say, the French ace kids love Ronaldo, as well as Messi, but his name is not allowed to be muttered;

"They love Ronaldo and Messi. Since Euro 2016, though, they have no right to pronounce the name of Ronaldo!"

So, not only did he cut short Ronaldo's Euro final but now his kids are banned from saying his name, harsh Dimitri.
