What happens when the big day coincides with the Champions League final between Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur?
While not every couple will find themselves in that predicament, Liverpool supporter Abby Norman and Spurs fan James Alexander are in that position.
However, the soon-to-be newlyweds have decided to shake up their wedding in style after revealing that they would be showing the final.
That's right, the couple made an appearance on ITV's This Morning and said that even the seating arrangement at the ceremony would be based on the teams in the final.
Oh, and that's not to mention that they will also be holding a sweepstake.
"We joked and laughed that it could happen, but didn't think it really would. After Tottenham's game on Wednesday, our phones were going nuts," Abby said.
"James was actually in London at the time and we couldn't believe it had happened -- and for a massive game as well."
When they were asked if they even thought about cancelling the wedding, James responded: "No, we never thought of cancelling, we just knew we had to show the game."
According to James and Abby, they will be changing the bar to a sports-themed one and their table plan will also be based around the two teams.
"There will also be a sweepstake for the teams, the bar will be changed into a sports bar and the table plan is now by teams," they said.
Obviously, not everyone watches football or enjoys it (shocking, we know). For those who don't watch football, though, they will need to pick either Liverpool or Spurs to support at the wedding, according to Abby.
"They need to be savvy and pick who to support then and who they think will win -- which will obviously be Liverpool," she said.
Sure, the Premier League runners-up might be the favourites in many people's eyes, but even James admitted that takes the pressure off his side.
"Tottenham are the underdogs, so have nothing to fear and all the pressure is on Liverpool," he said.
"But if they win, Abby will rub it in."
