Manchester City's director of football Txiki Begiristain didn't look too pleased drawing Liverpool in the Champions League.

After progressing to the quarter-final courtesy of dumping out Swiss outfit FC Basel, City awaited their fate in the next round with the competition throwing up Liverpool.

The two English representatives are drawn together, while the three La Liga clubs managed to avoid each other.

Suspicious?

Jurgen Klopp will renew hostilities with Pep Guardiola following two brilliant league meetings.

City thrashed Liverpool 5-0 at the Etihad, while Klopp's charges inflicted City with their first, and only, league defeat of the season, beating the Premier League leaders 4-3 in a thrilling game.

Two more games are on deck in a two-legged tie.

Is Klopp happy with the draw?

Well, one things for sure, he immediately noticed Beguiristain's reaction.

"I saw Beguiristain's face after the draw and he didn't look like it was Christmas," he said.

The German boss is looking forward to the European fixture, though he's angry at the schedule which includes playing cross-town rivals Everton a few days later.

"There will be a point where I'm looking forward to that game. But I'm already angry as the Everton game has been moved to 12.30 on Saturday. Now it's Wednesday night and Everton on Saturday morning.

So, it's City at home, then to Everton before heading to Manchester for the second leg. Hectic.
