Though we had Deadline Day for English clubs a number of weeks back, there's still a crazy final day deal to report on.

Cameroonian forward Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting, who has the best name in football by an absolutely country mile, is slated to complete a move from Stoke City to the mighty Paris Saint-Germain, pending a medical today.

When reports first filtered through, it looked as though it was just another daft transfer story plucked out of thin air. But PSG boss Thomas Tuchel has confirmed that the 29-year old will indeed be joining on a a free transfer.

The pair worked together at Mainz in the Bundesliga and Tuchel feels he can be a solid back-up to his No.9, Edinson Cavani.

"We've been looking for a few weeks for cover for [Edinson] Cavani, the opportunity has come with Maxim, who is a top-level player, who can impact right away when he comes off the bench," he said in a press conference.

"With the arrival of Choupo-Moting, it's a lot of attackers. It can impact [Timothy] Weah's situation, but at the same time not, because it's another type of player."
