Champions League Draw Throws Up Some Tasty Ties

Some very nice games to look forward to!

The draw for the Champions League last 16 is complete and we've got a whole lot of tasty ties to look forward to.

Spurs topped their Champions League group and have been paired with last year's finalists Juventus. Manchester City, fresh from beating Manchester United in Sunday's derby, have been drawn against Swiss side Basel - easily the most favourable draw they could have asked for.

Liverpool will come up against Porto in the knockout stage, while Manchester United are locking horns with Sevilla, who finished second in Liverpool's group.

Undoubtedly the tie of the round is Real Madrid vs PSG, as the two heavyweights do battle in the last 16. Real are of course the holders of the trophy after winning the precious prize consecutively in the past two seasons, and PSG have been tipped by many as the favourites to win the competition given how deadly they've looked in Europe this term.

Chelsea failed to top their group, finishing second to Roma, and boy have they paid the price. Antonio Conte's side will play La Liga leaders Barcelona in the next round - a fixture that evokes mixed memories for fans of the Stamford Bridge club.

Moreover, Shakhtar Donetsk will take on Roma - and completing the round of fixtures is Bayern-Besiktas.

Here is the last 16 draw in full:

There are a load of mouthwatering ties to look forward when the Champions League returns in a couple of months and we can't wait to tune in.

The first legs will take place on February 13/14 and February 20/21, with the second fixtures taking place on March 6/7 and March 13/14.

What do you make of the draw on the whole? Who has done the best in terms of their last 16 opponents?

Sound off in the comments.
