Heart-warming stuff from Iker Casillas following Gigi Buffon's recent announcement.
On Thursday, Juventus captain and football veteran Gianluigi Buffon announced that he will be leaving Juventus after his final game on Saturday against Verona.
The 40-year-old Italian has been at Juventus for 17 years and will be leaving behind countless memories including nine Serie A titles and four Italian Cups.

Ex-Real Madrid and current Porto keeper Casillas has reached out to Buffon on Twitter with a message that says a lot about their friendship that clearly stretches beyond football.
Casillas tweeted direct to Buffon saying: "I wish you the best in the next stage that begins for you. You deserve everything good friend".
Everyone expected Buffon to announce his full retirement earlier this afternoon, but he stopped short of retiring altogether and announced he would just be leaving his beloved Juventus.

That's because he claims to have received 'interesting proposals' that he will be considering this coming summer.
In his 'goodbye conference' this afternoon Buffon said: "Saturday will be my last game for Juventus, I think this is the best way to end this wonderful adventure."
"Until a few days ago it was certain that I would stop playing. Now there are some interesting proposals.

"In Wojciech Szczesny, Juventus have an excellent goalkeeper, who also has 13 years less than me. Giorgio Chiellini is the perfect example of how a Juve captain should be.
"He has always been a reference for me. I wish him all the best."
