Crystal Palace could face a tough test in keeping hold of Wilfried Zaha in the summer after reports suggest that Borussia Dortmund will break their club transfer record on the player.

It was previously reported that the German club would make a move for the 26-year-old Ivorian forward in January, but they will return in the summer with an even bigger offer.

According to Bild, Dortmund are ready to splash out €80m on the Crystal Palace ace.

Zaha would become the club's most expensive signing, eclipsing the reported £27m that BVB spent on signing André Schürrle from Wolfsburg in 2016 and the £25m on Abdou Diallo from Mainz in 2018.

However, Dortmund will also face competition from fierce rivals Bayern Munich over the signing of Zaha.

The reigning Bundesliga champions are reportedly preparing to hijack the move, especially with Franck Ribéry's future uncertain and Arjen Robben leaving the club at the end of the season.

The German newspaper reports that Dortmund would want the former Manchester United player to fill the void left behind by Christian Pulisic, who signed for Chelsea in the January transfer window and was loaned back to BVB for the remainder of the season.

The German club could be looking to reinforce even further in the summer, with recent reports suggesting that United and Paris Saint-Germain could submit a £100m offer for the highly rated Jadon Sancho.

The Eagles have a strong hand in any negotiations after Zaha signed a new deal back in August, which keeps him at Selhurst Park until 2023.

Dortmund are at the top of the Bundesliga, but they are level on points with Bayern Munich.

Lucien Favre's men host Tottenham Hotspur on Tuesday at the Westfalenstadion for the second leg of their Champions League clash.

However, Dortmund faces an uphill battle after losing the first leg 3-0 last month.

Will Zaha leave Palace in the summer?
