Neuer re-injured his foot, and is set to be sidelined for a few months. While he's expected to return in the later stages of the Champions League, his World Cup participation, fortunately, is not in doubt.
Phew.
Following his injury, Ulreich filled the void. But he suffered an injury during the clubs winter warm weather training in Doha, Qatar.

He sprained his finger, heading straight to the hospital to check on the severity.
Though his absence depends on how quickly the swelling goes down, per the club.
Jupp Heynckes is now set to rely on ex-youth coach Tom Starke who came out of retirement in the summer to help with Bayern's problems in goal.

The 36-year-old could now sensationally return between the sticks should Ulreich be ruled out for a period of time.
Heynckes has also called up 18-year-old Ron-Thorben Hoffmann as he's forced to reinforce his goalkeeping choices.
Bayern, 11 points clear at the top of the Bundesliga, face Bayer Leverkusen a week on Friday as they resume their league campaign.

While the German champions only face Turkish opposition Besiktas in the next round of the Champions League, they'll be hoping to have Ulreich back in the fold.
