Lucas Hernández will leave Atlético Madrid in the summer after Bayern Munich broke their club transfer record to sign him.

The Bavarians triggered his €80m release clause and the 23-year-old Frenchman has penned a five-year deal.

SPORTbible reported last week that the German club had completed the signing 'a few weeks ago,' having been linked with the Atlético defender in the January transfer window.

The reigning Bundesliga champions shattered their club-record fee to sign Hernández, with their previous record being the €41.5m paid to Lyon for Corentin Tolisso in 2017.

Bayern Munich already put into motion the overhaul of their existing squad back in January, snapping up Benjamin Pavard from VfB Stuttgart for a reported fee of €35m.

Bayern Munich manager Niko Kovač will reportedly have €200m to spend in the summer, with Franck Ribéry potentially ready to exit the Allianz Arena in the summer and Arjen Robben already announcing his departure from the club at the end of the season.

Who else should Bayern Munich sign in the summer?
