Barcelona's 2019/20 Home Kit Will Break Away From Tradition

It's all change for the Blaugrana..

Barcelona's 2019/20 home shirt will feature a design that is very different to what the club normally opt for - though Ivan Rakitic will be used to it.

As we know, the Blaugrana's colours are red and blue, with stripes the normal design for them. Sometimes they've switched it up and had half and half, while the 2015/16 campaign saw Luis Enrique's treble-winners don hoops on their home shirt.

But it looks as though next season's home shirt is moving into an entirely new direction. As per Catalan outlet SPORT, the La Liga champions will be sporting a chequered square design that looks awfully similar to Croatia's traditional home colours.

Barcelona have been a Nike client for over two decades now but the upcoming design looks set to the most bold by a country mile. It's definitely uncharted territory and we look forward to seeing what sort of reaction it garners when next summer rolls around.

In other Barca kit news, their training shirt this year is literally the exact same as Spurs' away kit - just with a different badge and sponsor.

Do you think a chequered design can work for Barca?
