Barcelona might be at the top of La Liga, but manager Ernesto Valverde isn't overlooking the slim lead that the Spanish club holds.
Sevilla are only one point behind the defending La Liga champions, while third-place Atlético Madrid are only three points behind Barcelona.
The Barça boss is already looking at ways to bolster his squad, having already made a move for Chelsea's Andreas Christensen and keeping a close watch on Napoli's Kalidou Koulibaly.
Now, Barcelona will test Juventus' resolve with a €60m bid for one of their stars.
According to Corriere dello Sport (via Football Espana), the club wants to bring Rodrigo Bentancur to the Camp Nou.
The 21-year-old Uruguayan midfielder has made 12 starts for the Old Lady this season, mainly thanks to the injuries to Sami Khedira and Emre Can.
If Juventus can't keep hold of the player, they will definitely want a bigger offer to be put on the table.

The Serie A champions signed Bentancur from Boca Juniors in 2017, with the Argentine club apparently including a sell-on fee of 50 per cent as part of the deal.
