Who said romance is dead? Well, an on-pitch engagement over in the fourth tier of Romanian football is dispelling that myth.
Just before they were tasked with manning the line in the game, the linesman got down on one knee and proposed to his other half, also an assistant, just before kick-off.

Thankfully love was in the air as she said yes, with the happy couple celebrating getting hitched with a kiss on the pitch prior to assuming their flag duties.
At least there was a bit of romance to this one, because it certainly wasn't the case when an engagement happened at The Valley back in September.
One chap decided to pop the question during the interval of Charlton's defeat vs AFC Wimbledon in the Checkatrade Trophy.
There they were on the pitch, with the missus blindfolded and tricked into thinking she was taking some sort of dizzy penalty after being spun around by her fella.

But on the third spin, with her sight visible again, the lad was on one knee with his ring glistening at her. She said yes and all so congratulations to the happy couple.
However, in an ideal world you probably wouldn't want your engagement to be confirmed at half-time of a Checkatrade Trophy defeat where there's hardly any fans there.
But there is a reason why it all happened at last night's game - the man is a Charlton fan while his fiancee supports Wimbledon.
