Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has called for the January transfer window to be scrapped - in an attempt to restore football's so-called 'decency'.
The French boss knows all about struggling to keep his big stars at the moment, with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain having departed to Liverpool, and Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez refusing to agree contract extensions at the north London club.

But Wenger is pointing the finger at the mid-season transfer window, claiming it hurts clubs who are simply attempting to keep hold of their top players.
Wenger reckons top players should be made to stay at their teams for the entire campaign, rather than jump ship midway through the season.
Speaking to beIN Sports, via the Telegraph, Wenger said: "The players who do not play or the players who are tapped up in October they already start again to think where do I go in January.
"We are here to entertain people and you can do that with people who are really on board together, to achieve something together and not every minute that it doesn't go well to think 'where can I go next?'

"I believe that we have to bring some decency (to the game). We all complain today that it (football) has become too much (a) business, but we can do something about it. We have that responsibility in the game.
"The ideal situation would be to have a transfer period that is closed 48 hours before the first game of the championship and to close it completely until after the season."

We have absolutely no idea if there's any chance of Wenger's plans coming to fruition, but what do you think of the suggestions? Is there legs in the idea?
