An Outrageous Rumour Has Started Doing The Rounds Regarding Antonio Conte's Future

Erm, what?

Anybody with a passing interest in English football knows Chelsea and their manager Antonio Conte haven't had the smoothest of summers, but could the Italian really be about to leave?

Well, bookmakers have slashed odds today on Conte leaving Stamford Bridge and being replaced by former Borussia Dortmund coach Thomas Tuchel.

According to German newspaper Bild, the Blues have sought out Tuchel, amid suggestions Antonio Conte and club officials are continuing to clash heads.

And off the back of that, Betway, as per the Express, have slashed odds on Tuchel arriving in West London from as high as 3/1 to 11/2 earlier this morning.

It would be a remarkable turn of events if Conte does leave Chelsea, especially given the fact it was only three short months ago that he was lifting the Premier League title.

Despite Conte's differences with the Chelsea board over the past couple of months, it's hard to believe that the Italian would be replaced by Roman Abramovich just two games into the Premier League season, especially considering the champions are just coming off an impressive away victory against Tottenham, last week. Not to mention the former Juventus and Italy boss is especially well liked by his players, as could be seen by their celebrations at the final whistle of Sunday's victory over Spurs.

Tuchel left Dortmund at the end of the 2016/17 campaign, having guided BVB to the DFB Pokal and the Champions League quarter-finals.
