Vinicius Junior had an eventful day in the Madrid mini-derby against Atletico today. Not only did he score twice, including one absolute worldie, with first-team boss Julen Lopetegui in attendance, but the Brazilian starlet also had his head bitten by an opponent.

No, we're genuinely not exaggerating - Atleti's captain Tachi did his best Luis Suarez impression on the 18-year old - but went for his head rather than the shoulder.

Somehow he was not sent off and to make matters worse, Vinicius was shown a yellow card.

Twitter exploded with reaction to the disgusting behaviour of Tachi:

With the officials not picking up on the incident, he will surely have a lengthy ban coming his way when the governing body review it.

It capped off a pretty crazy day for Vinicius, who got off the mark in style for the Castilla side and will surely have impressed Lopetegui in attendance.

Real's second side play Union Adarve in the Segunda division next week, where Vinicius will hope to continue his fine form - and more importantly, not have a chunk of his head missing...
