Arsenal should do all they can to keep Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil, that seems pretty obvious for those of us on the outside looking in. However the latest offer from the club to Sanchez doesn't look like enough.

The two stars are far and away the most important attacking players for the Gunners, potentially the most important in the whole team. However their contracts are up in 18 months and it's starting to look like they won't be able to keep hold of both.

Arsene Wenger isn't too concerned and the club have claimed that they won't be selling either of the players in the summer even if it means them leaving on a free a year later.

In an attempt to stop Sanchez leaving the Daily Mail report that Arsenal have offered the Chilean a £50,000-a-week pay rise, taking him to £180k-a-week. However the winger turned striker is set to turn it down as he wants £250k-a-week.

The paper reveals that the two time Copa America winner believes that £250k would live up to his true worth as per other players of equal importance to their team at the top level.

That seems to make sense with Sanchez leading the line for the Emirates club this season. The 27 year old has scored 12 goals in 15 Premier League games this season and Arsenal wouldn't have a title challenge without him.

Wenger and the club reportedly remain hopeful of the player signing an extension but they may need to set aside their wage structure to keep one of the league's most inform and dangerous players.
