Arsene Wenger and the Gunners' faithfuls endured more misery over the weekend following their 3-1 defeat to West Brom, and things continue to get worse.

The loss at the Hawthorns saw Arsenal drop to sixth place behind Manchester United who were occupying that spot for a bloody long time.

(This was before the Lincoln game, will the situation escalate?)

Though Alexis Sanchez did get on the score-sheet but ultimately to no prevail. His contract situation has already been a massive burden.

And to make matters worse, he's hinted at more bad news on Instagram.

After scoring, he was then forced off with an ankle problem. Despite the worry from Wenger, it appears he'll risk the injury to play for Chile.

The under scrutinised boss was hellbent on hauling him off at halt-time, but Sanchez was adamant he remained on the pitch.

It now looks like Sanchez will be risked to represent his nation when they come up against Argentina on Thursday night in a World Cup qualifier.

Reports from his native land suggested this, not to mention his post on his Instagram.

The Chilean uploaded a picture of him ruining the Uruguayans accompanied with he message. "The only failure is not to try."

The rocky relationship with Arsenal and Chile may be reignited. Wenger was less than pleased with them last year after the 28-year-old featured for them even though he was carrying a knock.

The fans, and Wenger, will be praying he comes through the games unscathed because once the international break is over, Arsenal travel to Manchester City in the league.
